The great Leipzig fair this year feels the effect of public opinion outside Germany. Dr. Goebbels, Minister of Propaganda, who opened the fair a few days go, must have realized by this time that the Nazi misdeeds are commencing to bring ruin to the economist structure of Germany. Very few foreign buyers came to the Leipzig fair this year. The French sent no representatives, the British have but very few buyers there, and the Americans have stayed away. The great Leipzig fair now suffers the consequences of Hitler’s short-sighted reign of terror. This is something the Hitler government will not be able to explain away with all its machinery of fabricated propaganda. The people of Germany cannot fail to understand this.
