The Jewish National Fund joined with scientists from the United States and Muslim countries in a project aimed at improving water supplies. Some of the scientists involved in the Sustainable Development for Drylands Project, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development, hail from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Jordan.
