The Jews were accused of causing the cultural disruption of Germany in the course of an address broadcast yesterday by Herman Wilhelm Goering, the Nazi leader, who is Minister without Portfolio in the Federal German government and Minister of Interior of Prussia.
Minister Goering’s statement is the first outspoken reference to the Jewish question by a member of Chancellor Hitler’s cabinet.
In line with its attack of Saturday, “Der Angriff,” Berlin Nazi organ, yesterday published a new tirade against the Jews.
The Nazi All German Information Service reports that the Jewish population has received instructions to buy only essentials and to provoke a business crisis, the paper asserts. In the next breath, the Nazi organ declares that the Jews have been instructed to buy up food products for the purpose of inflating prices.
The Jews, says “Der Angriff,” are ruining agriculture, breaking the backbone of Germany and bleeding her population. The Jewish banks, it says further, are ruthlessly recalling their loans to small industries and middle class elements. All this is for the purpose of discrediting the Hitler regime, asserts “Der Angriff.”
Germany Jewry is taking its orders from international Jewry which once poured 30,000,000,000 marks of credits into Germany for enslaving the German population, it alleges.
