The National Council of Jewish Women criticized a congressional vote to ban late-term abortions. The U.S. House of Representatives voted Wednesday to ban “partial-birth abortions,” but did not include an exception where there is a serious health risk to the mother. “We are extremely disappointed that the House has once again bowed to right-wing pressure,” said Sammie Moshenberg, director of the NCJW’s Washington office.
