The Nazi press made a violent new attack today on “the British policy of reducing to famine the Arabs fighting for freedom in Palestine.”

The Deutscher Allgemeine Zeitung predicted the Arabs “will know how to find the means of making the world aware of the terror inflicted on them. Reports from Palestine,” the article continued, “evidence the inhuman methods used by the British to break the Arab resistance. These methods even outstrip the blockade against Germany during the Great War.”

The Berliner Tageblatt ironically remarked that latest reports from the Holy Land were illustrative of “British pacification measures,” and that “through famine the Arabs should now learn how Great Britain keeps its promises. It may be concluded that the English are seeking in every way to hide from the world the events in Palestine.”
