The New York State Banking Department has warned banks in the state against yielding to Arab economic pressure to discriminate against Jews. Acting Superintendent of Banks Ernest Kohn has sent letters to bank presidents across the state reminding them that state law forbids discrimination by banks and advising them that his department would check on compliance with the law through its regular bank examinations.
