The Norwegian government announced that two of the Lillehammer defendants have been released from prison and have already left the country. Sylvia Raphael of South Africa and Israeli diplomat Abraham Gehmer were sentenced to long prison terms after being found guilty of having participated as accomplices in the killing of a Moroccan waiter in July 1978.
