The Palestinians are preparing for a “protracted clash with Israel,” according to the Israel Defense Force chief of staff. “The Palestinians are fortifying positions, stockpiling munitions, and are attempting to smuggle in weapons through any means, by sea, by tunnels, by the Egyptian border and via international borders,” Lt. Gen. Shaul Mofaz told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
