The reported target of a botched Mossad bugging operation in Bern was linked by Israeli intelligence to bombings in 1992 and 1994 of Jewish targets in Argentina that left more than 100 dead, according to the Israeli daily Yediot Achronot. Five Mossad agents were caught last month while attempting to bug the apartment of Abdallah El-Zein, who was linked in the Israeli media to Hezbollah — a connection El-Zein has denied.
