The Roumanian government wil lact only against aggressive anti-Semitism and not against anti-Semitic ideology, Virgil Madgearu, minister of agriculture, said in Parliament as a reply to the various speakers who took part in the debate on the King’s message. Praising Deputy Fisher’s speech of last week, M. Madgearu declined to enter into a discussion with Professor Cuza.

Deputy Michael Landau blamed Parliament for its failure to protest against Cuza’s recent attack on the Jews in Parliament. He charged that the government was slow in taking measures against the student disturbances and therefore the Jewish population was unable to approve of the government’s policy.
