The Simon Wiesenthal Center asked the president of Venezuela to back efforts to find 18 suspected Nazi war criminals who emigrated to Venezuela after World War II. The appeal to Hugo Chavez came as a Wiesenthal Center official charged that Venezuela never followed through on its promise to cooperate with the center’s Nazi-hunting effort.
