The United Jewish appeal received a $1 million donation from an evangelical Christian leader to help Jews from the former Soviet Union emigrate to Israel. The Rev. John Hagee, pastor of the 16,000-member Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, presented the check to UJA at the National Religious Broadcaster’s Conference in Washington. The donation is expected to help more than 3,300 Jews relocate to Israel.
