Third Refugee Corps to Be Recruited in London; Pioneers Popular in France

A new army recruiting office for the Third Auxiliary Pioneer Corps will be opened here on Monday, it was announced today.

The authorities are reported to be delighted with the success of the refugee corps. Commanding officers in France are said to be competing for the services of the refugee pioneers, several companies of whom are now operating in France.

Rabbis Israel Brodie and Bernard Cherrick, recently appointed Jewish chaplains to the British expeditionary forces, have departed for France to take up their duties. It is expected that the number of Jewish chaplains will be increased later in accordance with the growing number of Jewish members of the forces, both at home and overseas.
