The charge that The Reconstruction Finance Corporation granted a loan to the Dupont munition works to permit the manufacture of arms for shipment to the Nazis in Germany was preferred by Norman Thomas, Socialist leader, in an address delivered before the Young People’s Peace Conference.
Mr. Thomas, the former Socialist candidate for the presidency of the United States stated, that he had information to this effect “from a reliable source” and that according to the plan, the arms were to be shipped to the Hitlerites via Holland.
