Because it deals with a pogrom on the Jews and the love affair between an Austrian army officer and a Jewess, the talking film, “Two Worlds,” has been prohibited in the moving picture houses of Thuringia by the minister of the interior, Dr. William Frick. “To characterize the Jews as better people than Austrian officers is an insult which we could not inflict upon our Austrian brethren,” Dr. Frick declared, in explaining the ban.

Dr. Frick, a member of the National Socialist party, is a noted anti-Semite, having been responsible for the introduction of the notorious “hate prayers” in the schools of Thuringia.
