Torgsin agencies in this country have increased to a large extent during the past few years, according to A. Mintz, assistant general representative in the United States of Torgsin (State Corporation for Trade with Foreigners). This increase, he declared, is due to the larger number of orders sent by Americans to their relatives and friends in the Soviet Union.
