The Jewish population of Palestine totalled 375,000 at the end of 1935, according to a report of the statistical bureau of the Jewish Agency for Palestine. The Jewish farm population numbered 91,000.
Jewish populations of various cities were: Tel Aviv, 135,000; Jerusalem, 71,000; Haifa, 50,000 and Jaffa, 18,000.
The distribution of Jews by occupations was: 46,000 engaged in agriculture; industry, labor and service trades, 97,000; building trades, 42,000; commerce, 66,000; professions, 41,000.
