Two Israeli Leaders Arrive in U.S. to Aid the U.J.A. and Bond Drives

Brigadier General Chaim Herzog, former Chief of Intelligence of the Israel Defense Forces, and one-time military commander of Jerusalem, arrived here this afternoon from Israel to address the United Jewish Appeal’s National Inaugural Dinner, to be held February 11 in New York, and a series of regional and community UJA meetings throughout the country. The inaugural dinner will mark the official opening of the 1962 UJA national campaign, which seeks to taise a total of $95,000,000.

Josef Almogi, Minister Without Portfolio of the State of Israel, and hero of World War II, arrived here today for a six-week tour of American and Canadian communities in behalf of the Israel Bond drive, which is seeking to raise $66,500, 000 this year.
