Two Jews at the center of a vast fraud operation involving French and Israeli banks were sent to prison. Haim Weizman and Thierry Luksemberg each received two-year jail sentences Dec. 3 from a court in Paris for their role in the Sentier Affair, in which they were accused of defrauding the banks out of more than $100 million by purchasing materials with false checks.
