Two pitchers for the San Francisco Giants baseball team have cleats with the Hebrew word for luck on them. Scott Eyre and Wayne Franklin placed the word “mazal” on their Nike cleats after seeing the phrase used by a Jewish character played by actor Alec Baldwin in the recent move “Along Came Polly,” according to j., San Francisco’s Jewish newsweekly.
