Two U.S. legislators introduced a bill that would force insurance companies with operations in the United States to disclose the names on Holocaust-era policies. Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), who introduced the bill along with Rep. Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.), said it is “outrageous” that the companies are trying “to avoid their responsibility” to pay survivors’ claims.
