U.s.a. Considering Arms Aid to Israel and Four Arab Governments

A State Department spokesman today disclosed that the United States is considering providing arms to four Arab states and to Israel, although a final decision has not been reached. The Arab countries are Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Iraq.

The spokesman said deliberation is continuing and that an announcement would be made if a decision is taken with respect to the nations concerned.
