U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft said the war against terrorism is rooted in faith. Ashcroft, speaking to Christian broadcasters in Nashville, contrasted “the way of God and the way of the terrorists.” In Tuesday’s interview, Ashcroft said, “Civilized people — Muslims, Christians and Jews — all understand that the source of freedom and human dignity is the Creator.”
