U.S. Marines Stationed in Jerusalem Get Israeli Consent to Cross Lines to Go to Amman

A detachment of U.S. Marines serving as guards at the American Consulate here was to cross the Israeli-Arab Legion truce lines today to go to Amman–Transjordan capital–to provide a guard of honor at the reception given by the United States Legation there for King Abdullah. Israeli military authorities agreed today to the movement of the Marines through their lines.
