The Pioneer Women, women’s Labor Zionist organization, has decided to establish in Israel a scholarship plan, in honor of the late President Weizmann, for students who wish to devote themselves to the agricultural sciences. The scholarships, amounting to approximately $500 each, will be awarded annually by the Working Women’s Council, sister organization in Israel of the Pioneer Women.

Through the funds raised by Pioneer Women, the sister organization in Israel maintains a large network of social services for immigrant women, children and youth in the Jewish State. Six agricultural schools are presently maintained by the organization.
