Ukraine’s president vowed to return 58 synagogues to the country’s Jewish community. Leonid Kuchma made the commitment Tuesday at a meeting in Kiev with Ukrainian Jewish leaders and representatives of NCSJ: Advocates on Behalf of Jews in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Eurasia.
