Vienna Communists in Trouble over Jewish Vote Explanation

Efforts of Vienna Communist Party officials to blame the poor showing of the party in the recent Parliamentary elections on the defection of Jewish voters in the Soviet-occupied districts of Vienna because of Communist anti-Semitism, brought them into hot water today.

Top leaders of the party rejected this excuse and castigated their ward captains for failing to “enlighten” the Jewish voters on the “true nature” of Communist policy.
