Violent protest and an expression of disgust and indignation was made here by the well-known Socialist leader, M. Emil Vandervelde, formerly Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs and at present a member of the Belgian Cabinet, at a great protest meeting tonight. Deputy Bracke presided.
M. Emil Vandervelde condemned, in powerful language the German excesses. He declared that the Jewish question would be solved on the one hand by giving Jews possibilities of a national existence in Palestine, and by the advent of socialism throughout the world which would make possible peaceful Jewish existence in the Diaspora.
