Two high-ranking Soviet bloc prelates now visiting Israel held separate prayer services at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Institute here today in memory of the six million Jews killed by the Nazis.

Catholicos Vazken I, head of the Armenian Church, and Metropolitan Philaret, head of the Russian Church in East Berlin and Central Europe, both leading delegations of churchmen, paid their respects at the memorial and met with the chairman of Yad Vashem, Yitzhak Arad. Later, Philaret was the luncheon guest of Religious Affairs Minister Yitzhak Raphael at the Knesset. This afternoon, Raphael was keynote speaker at the dedication of the new Armenian Theological Seminary in the Armenian quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem. Catholicos Vazken dedicated the impressive group of buildings.
