Complete furnishings and equipment for the Sam and Milton Warner Memorial building at Los Angeles Sanatorium will be provided through the latest gift of the Warner family, which has contributed generously to the improvement of this national institution in recent years. A fluoroscope, x-ray apparatus, cardiograph, full equipment for physiotherapy, complete furnishings for the medical offices and clinics and all other necessary equipment and apparatus are included in this gift, which will involve an expenditure of over $16,000. The building itself, completed several months ago at a cost of $50,000, will house the administration offices, research and clinical laboratories, clinics, x-ray rooms, operating rooms, pharmacy and physiotherapy rooms.
Three years ago the Warner Brothers turned over the use of their theatre in Hollywood, and the services of their entire organization in putting over a gigantic benefit which netted $24,000 for the sanatorium. Shortly thereafter they gave a complete, double-action, motion picture projection apparatus to the sanatorium, following up this gift with Vitaphone and Movie-tone equipment.
