A State Department spokesman told newsmen he had no knowledge of any plans for a meeting between President Eisenhower and Nasser, as suggested by the Egyptian president. Col. Nasser indicated this week-end in an interview in Cairo that he would like to have a face-to-face meeting with Eisenhower if the latter would take the initiative.
