Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the Jewish Agency today signed documents renewing participation of the Jewish Palestine P vilion in the New York World’s Fair at a ceremony in the Fair board of directors’ room at the Empire State Building.
The Palestine Pavilion at the 1940 Fair, Dr. Weizmann said, “will give renewed evidence of the determination of the Jewish people to stand among the builder of the future and of the deep conviction that in the world of tomorrow Jewish Palestine will play a significant role.”
It was announced that 2,339,700 persons had visited the pavilion in 1939. It is planned to bring the Palestine “Panorama” at the pavilion up to date by including the new settlements.
