West Bank settlers were furious after a meeting with Israeli Defense Minister Yitzhak Mordechai, who has proposed a map of Israel’s “security interests” in the West Bank that would exclude some Jewish settlements from Israeli sovereignty. A separate set of maps drawn up by National Infrastructure Minister Ariel Sharon would leave all the settlements under Israeli control.
