The Department of Homeland Security announced last week that it had allocated nearly $150 million more this fiscal year toward the Nonprofit Security Grant Program, which funds security enhancements at houses of worship and religious organizations.

The comments were condemned by Georgia’s only Jewish state representative, Democrat Esther Panitch.
