The chairman of the U.S. Commission on Religious Freedom suggested that the body declined to address Israel in order to maintain bipartisan solidarity.
The allocation comes on the heels of a law that allows local Orthodox rabbinates to bar non-Orthodox Jewish conversion ceremonies in publicly funded mikvahs.
