New York Post state editor Fred Dicker on Monday reported that he has a dossier on Democrat Andrew Cuomo from an operative tied to Republican Carl Paladino, including documents suggesting Cuomo is an anti-Semite.
A memo in the file, dated June 21, 2001 is titled “Andrew Cuomo an anti-Semite?”
The memo notes that “In 2002 Cuomo added hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, “a supporter of anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan” to his campaign team. Cuomo also met with then-Palestinian leader Yasir Arafat in 2000 as secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
Dicker noted that Simmons, who helped found the Coalition for Ethnic Understanding with Rabbi Marc Schneier, is “an aggressive opponent of anti-Semitism and racism,” despite his meeting with Jew-bashing Farrakhan.
Paladino spokesman Michael Caputo declined to tell Dicker if he planned on using the memos.
