Will Miss Manhattan Judaica

I was saddened to learn of the closing of Manhattan Judaica (“Midtown Judaica To Close,” Aug. 12).
When going to Manhattan, I always looked forward to visiting this store to buy all kinds of religious items for my family. The store was like a museum, with all the unusual and interesting items available. I found the staff very knowledgeable and very helpful.

I thought the store was a gold mine because when I was there and a minyan took place, there were so many people there. I thought they were all supporters of the store. Now I read that with the rising rents and the fact that the people who came to daven did not necessarily support the store, I can see why it had to close its doors.
