The relief that finally a respected, objective person is calling out President Barack Obama is incredible (“Can Obama Be Trusted To Save Israel?” editor’s column, April 6).
Unlike Gary Rosenblatt, I regard Obama as a huge threat both to Israel and to the freedoms we have always had in this country. Executive order or executive fiat? Threats to override the Supreme Court. Forced limits on religious freedoms. And the list goes on.
I think what I am trying to say is the one point on which I take issue with Rosenblatt is his conclusion that Obama is not the enemy of Israel, but a “reluctant” supporter. Does Rosenblatt really believe the president can be trusted with the fate of Israel — absent all constraints — if he is re-elected?
