One of the most overused adjectives in English is probably “kafkaesque,” a word that denotes a surreal, nightmarish, overly bureaucratic situation, but no one can complain if that word is applied to a video game that will be released this year – the Franz Kafka Videogame.
Created by Denis Galanin (aka mif2000), a Russian game developer whose previous game release was based on Hamlet, this new game is inspired by the works of the Jewish, German-language writer of novels and short stories (1883-1924). The Frank Kafka Videogamecenters around a hero who gets a sudden offer of employment which changes his life, Heeb reports.
“To his surprise,” Galanin explained to Heeb, “the world beyond his homeland appears to be not as normal as he would think. Together with the hero you will experience atmosphere of absurdity, surrealism, and total uncertainty.”
The game can be played on iOS, PC, Mac, Androuid and Linux platforms and is scheduled for release sometime this year, Heeb says.
