If a person is a good person and is qualified to lead the country as president, then why must religion come into the picture (“Bernie’s Brand Of Jewishness,” Opinion, Feb. 19). I thought that in 2016 we have overcome our prejudices. Baruch Hashem, we finally have a Jew — the first Jewish candidate for president of the United States.
He is not a synagogue goer. … Well, I don’t see any of the other candidates going to their church either. Religion should be private and politics public, not to be mixed.
