Editor’s Note: Spectrum Works partners with Green Distribution, one of the 2015 Ruderman Best in Business Award winners, featured here.
Spectrum Works is a unique nonprofit that provides job training and employment to individuals with autism by building inclusive workforces at partner companies. Interns gain experience through a multi-staged job training program which teaches the skills needed to succeed in the workplace. Job coaches will assist interns in developing the necessary competencies needed to maintain gainful employment.
The Post High School internship program offers opportunities to increase employability, learn the skills needed to work in the distribution industry, and to potentially be employed by the partner company after successful completion of the internship program.
Post-High School Interns who navigate the program successfully and demonstrate sufficient levels of productivity and autonomy could potentially become employed by the partner company in a permanent position.
