Kudos to Karen Lehmann-Eisner for having the gumption to force the executive board of the Foundation for Jewish Culture to vote on whether to continue funding artists who support boycotts of Israel (“Culture Group Rebuffs Bid To Condemn Boycotts,” Dec. 31).
It boggles the mind that these dilettantes — acting in the name of Jewish culture — dole out tens of thousands of dollars to artists whose productions repeatedly bash Israel, yet the board somehow thinks it is unseemly to exercise any control over what is done with that money.
Perhaps the organization should re-name itself the Foundation for anti-Jewish Culture.
