Councilman David Greenfield is offering a $1000 reward for confidential information leading to the arrest and conviction of vandals who defaced the headquarters of Community Board 12 in Borough Park. A source told The Jewish Week the messages included “Jewish pigs.”

The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the graffiti, which was discovered Monday morning, and reviewing nearby surveillance cameras.

“Once again our community finds itself targeted by a cowardly individual who thinks nothing of spreading vile, hateful rhetoric against the Jewish community,” Greenfield said in a statement, noting that the board, based on 13th Avenue, serves a predominantly Jewish area and both the chairman and district manager are Jews.
