Steven Bayme writes that “some Jewish students and groups” support the BDS movement (“A BDS Blueprint For The Green,” Israel Now, May 30). In fact, Jews are the prime instigators of the international Boycott Israel movement on campus and elsewhere. Of the 30 contributors to the book, “The Case for Sanctions Against Israel,” published by Verso in 2012, half are Jews. Stephen Hawking, the world-renowned physicist, joined the academic boycott against Israel because British Jewish scientists pressured him. And the co-organizer of the current ads demonizing Israel in Boston’s downtown State Street subway station is a Jew.
