In response to the Opinion piece, “Honeymoon Israel: Birthright For Young Marrieds” (July 4), I know the federations are searching for allies to fight many of Israel’s self-destructive, anti-intermarriage and anti-civil marriage policies.
If the proposed trips were truthful with these couples, the federations could gain valuable allies in a fight to make Israel more democratic and pluralistic.
But the intermarried couples have to be told the truth.
