Regarding Gary Rosenblatt’s column, “A Woman’s Plight, A Community’s Shame” (April 24): Why the rabbis refuse to give the woman the get [religious divorce] she needs is beyond comprehension since it denies her the chance of having more Jewish children. Being an agunah is a crime against marriage.
