As the grateful wife of a Yeshiva University employee and mother of a student at Stern
College, I am writing to congratulate Richard Joel on the creation of the Center for the Jewish Future (“Existentially, Yeshiva Is Not In Trouble,” Sept. 18).
The programming from this initiative has made the very best of YU available to the community at large through the Sunday morning Kollel and Midreshet Yom Rishon events. Participants travel in from venues as distant as Stamford, Conn., or the Five Towns for these top-notch classes. It is a wonderful way to start the week.
President Joel has opened up YU to its world of multi-generational supporters through this and other programs. I am indebted to him for his inspired leadership.
