It took Jeffrey Wiesenfeld and Douglas Altabef to finally provide Jewish Week readers with a much-needed history of how the well-connected New Israel Fund supports BDS by funding radical organizations, such as Breaking the Silence (BtS), which is strongly condemned by mainstream Israelis (“New Israel Fund: From Watchdog To ‘Treachery,’” Opinion, April 22).
BtS pursues its marginal agenda of making the West Bank Judenrein by disgracefully sending hostile, politicized IDF veterans to American campuses to slander the IDF — and Israel — with unverified reports of supposed IDF misdeeds.
As Pogo said, “We have met the enemy and he is us.”
