There is no “other side” of the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement against Israel (“The Other Side Of BDS,” Editor’s column, Sept. 30).
“Avi” [the fictional name of the Jewish BDS supporter] wasn’t born when Israel fought most of its wars and he relies strictly on Palestinian propaganda for his information.
Unfortunately, the generation that Avi represents can’t argue the facts because they are devoid of any knowledge of history. It’s a shame that The Jewish Week editor finds it necessary to even give Avi and his like-minded supporters any coverage. I would suggest Avi read Alan Dershowitz’s book, “The Case For Israel,” and then try to effectively debate a pro-BDS position.
