Wrong On Maimonides?

Re: Gary Rosenblatt’s column last week, “Struggling For A ‘Middle Way’ In A World Of Extremes”:

I was always intrigued by progressives who quote Maimonides to prove progressive positions. Based on today’s progressive agenda, would he not be considered a homophobe for rejecting gay marriage? Would he not be considered a misogynist for rejecting egalitarianism?

Or, maybe progressives believe that were Maimonides alive in our times, he would be pro-gay rights, pro-choice and supportive of egalitarianism.

Can you have it both ways?
